Predictions 08.11.2022

Bayern Munich vs Werder Bremen | Bundesliga (08.11.2022, 20:30)

After a series of results that are not alarming but certainly unexpected (only 1 victory in 6 league matches between the fourth and the ninth day), Bayern is back to doing Bayern also at home, and now it seems to be in the classic moment where stopping it looks like a real one. Nagelsmann’s team, having won the Champions League round against thick teams such as Barcelona and Inter, is now at their fourth success in a row in the Bundesliga and will try to put the fifth against a tough opponent who is doing well and who is in a positive moment: the Bremen. The green-and-whites of Germany in fact made the most of the two home rounds against Hertha and Schalke, taking them to seventh place and recovering lost ground after the KOs against Freiburg and Mainz.

Not bad for now, therefore, the return to the Bundesliga for a historic team, yes, but that last season was in Bundesliga 2, and now seems to be able to feel good again without worries in the top flight. To score points in Munich, something similar and unpredictable could be needed, even considering the precedents that are hardly known to be so peremptory: in the last 24 games between the two clubs, Bayern’s victories are even 23. A “monstrous” statistic which, however, has an incredibly strong support in favor of Bremen: the last of these 24 matches played in Munich that of November 2020 was the only one not to end with the victory of the Bavarians (1-1).

Bayern Munich WWWWWW

Following their victory over Hertha Berlin by a score of 2-3 in the Bundesliga 1 the last time out, Bayern Munich will aim to pick up right where they left off.

During that match, Bayern Munich held possession of the ball for 73% of the game and had 14 shots on goal, with four of those shots finding the target.

Bayern Munich’s offense has been on fire as of late, as seen by the fact that they have scored 21 goals against their opponents over the course of their previous six matches. During those matches, Bayern Munich has also been on the receiving end of six goals that have been scored against them.

Werder Bremen WLDLWW

In their most recent match, Werder Bremen defeated Schalke by a score of 2-1 to earn a victory in the Bundesliga 1 match that came before this one.

During that match, Werder Bremen held 45% of the possession and had 11 shots on goal, with five of them finding the net. On the opposite end of the field, Schalke 04 had 19 shots on goal, but only three of them were on target. Werder Bremen have allowed their opponents to score in five of the last six games they have played, for eight goals scored by their rivals. The statistics do not lie. Evidently, Werder Bremen has been having some difficulties on the defensive end.

Ahead of this matchup, Werder Bremen have not been victorious over Bayern Munich in any of the previous 12 league matches that they have played against them away from home. A truly awful streak of luck.

Bayern Munich vs Werder Bremen Munich Predicted XI

Bayern Munich Predicted XI: Neuer; Mazraoui, Pavard, Upamecano, Hernandez; Sabitzer, Kimmich; Sane, Musiala, Mane; Choupo-Moting.

Werder Bremen Predicted XI: Pavlenka; Pieper, Veljkovic, Friedl; Weiser, Schmid, Gruev, Bittencourt, Jung; Fullkrug, Ducksch.

Prediction

We get the impression that Bayern Munich will be able to generate a large number of chances and successful shots on target when they are competing in this match.

On the opposite side of the field, Werder Bremen might have a difficult time breaking through, despite the fact that we believe it is likely that they will end up scoring at some point.

Because of this, we can predict that Bayern Munich will win with a relatively easy 3-1 victory at the end of the game.

Osasuna vs Barcelona | La Liga (08.10.2022, 21:30)

Having gone to the top of La Liga while waiting for Real Madrid to postpone the 13th round at Rayo Vallecano, Xavi’s Barcelona is already looking forward to the next delicate league match in Pamplona at Osasuna. The hosts, coached by Jagoba Arrasate, are at 23 points, in fifth place in the standings, after a positive streak of four races and winning 2 consecutive rounds.

The latest success came on the field for Celta Vigo with a 1-2 victory thanks to a brace from Ezequiel Avila. Barcelona, on the other hand, are coming off four victories in a row in the league, and in their last match, they defeated Almeria 2-0 at the Camp Nou with goals from Ousmane Dembélé and Frankie de Jong.

During that match, Osasuna had 38% possession of the ball and eight shots on goal, with 4 of those shots finding the back of the net. On the other end of the field, Celta Vigo had 13 shots on goal, five of which were on target.

Osasuna, led by Captain Jagoba Arrasate, have scored seven goals in their last six games. That is an average of 1.17 goals per game.

Barcelona WWLWWW

In their most recent La Liga match, Barcelona defeated UD Almera by a score of 2-0. During that match, Barcelona held possession of the ball for 70 percent of the game and had 27 shots on goal, with 13 of those shots hitting the target. Four of Almera’s shots were directed toward the goal, but only one of them was successful.

In recent encounters, it has been clear that there is a pattern in which at least one side gets a clean sheet while Barcelona is involved in the game. A review of their activities over the past six weekends reveals that it has occurred five times during that time. During those matches, Barcelona’s opponents have scored a combined five goals, while the Catalan club has scored fourteen.

Osasuna has not been able to overcome Barcelona in any of the previous six matches that Barcelona has played against them away from their own stadium in league play. This match will be the seventh time that Barcelona has faced Osasuna.

Injured and suspended

Osasuna: (Sergio Herrera, Ez Abde).

Osasuna vs Barcelona Predicted XI

Osasuna Predicted XI: Aitor, Pena, Unai, Garcia, Cruz, Torro, Moncayola, Avila, Oroz, Gomez Budimir.

Barcelona Predicted XI: ter Stegen, Bellerin, Christensen, Garcia, Balde, de Jong, Busquets, Gavira, Dembele, Lewandowski, Pedri.

Prediction

It is expected that Barcelona will have a good chance creation rate and a high percentage of shots that will hit the target throughout this match.

On the other side of the field, Osasuna might have trouble getting their name on the scoresheet, but we do see them as a threat for stretches of the game.

We anticipate that Barcelona will win the game by a rather comfortable margin of 1-3 at the end of the contest.
