Predictions 14-19.06.2022

Costa Rica vs New Zealand | WC Qualifiers – Playoffs (14.06.2022, 20:00)

The last match for a place in the next World Cup is played at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, located in Qatar, more precisely in the city of Al Rayyan. The teams from Costa Rica and New Zealand will star in this exciting match, which has the prize that everyone wants: qualification for the World Cup.

“The Ticos” advanced to the playoffs after finishing in fourth place in the CONCACAF Qualifiers. In total, they got 25 points in 14 games, the same as the United States, which was third because of having a better goal difference. In this way, after a great second round with several consecutive victories, they were on the verge of direct qualification for Qatar.

The “All Whites” went through the Oceania Qualifiers without problems, winning their group comfortably with 3 wins in 3 matches and a +11 goal difference. Then in the semifinals they beat Tahiti 1-0, and in the final they flourished against the Solomon Islands, 5-0. If they win on Tuesday, it would be their third participation in the World Cup, which they have not attended since South Africa in 2010. Who of the two will share Group E with Germany, Spain, and Japan?

Form Guide

Costa Rica WDWWWW

After beating the United States 2-0 in North and Central America World Cup Qualifying, Costa Rica will try to get the same result as their last game.

The Costa Rica rearguard has been enjoying a lot of success as of late, as evidenced by their most recent performances, which clearly demonstrate this point. The number of goals that have been scored against Costa Rica in each of their last six matches is a meager one, with the team having only conceded one in all of those contests.

New Zealand LWWWWW

In their most recent World Cup Qualifying-Oceania encounter, New Zealand defeated Solomon Islands by a score of 5-0. They will come into this game riding high on that momentum.

Due in large part to the fact that their offensive play has been coming to the fore as of late, New Zealand has had a lot of success in their most recent six matches in terms of scoring goals (19 in all). Because of this, they currently have an impressive goal scoring average of 3.17 per game over the course of this span of time.

Costa Rica vs New Zealand Predicted XI

Costa Rica Predicted XI: Navas, Oviedo, Fuller, Calvo, Martínez, Torres, Tejeda, Galo, Aguilera, Venegas, Joel Campbell.

New Zealand Predicted XI: Sail, Tuiloma, Reid, Smith, Bell, Barbarouses, Cacace, Payne, Garbett, Greive, Wood.

Prediction

Soccer in the American continent is much higher in terms of hierarchy, with respect to the selected ones that make up the OFC. From there, we can begin to explain the favoritism of Costa Rica in obtaining the last place for the World Cup in Qatar.

On the other hand, New Zealand will have a difficult time breaking through, but we believe that it is more than possible that they will convert at least once as well. Despite this, we do think that it will be difficult for them to achieve a breakthrough.

In the record of matches between both teams, we find that they met only once, in an international friendly in 2007, and it was a 4-0 victory for the “Ticos.” Without a doubt, the image of the team led by Colombian Luis Fernando Suárez is PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who has already played 2 World Cups with Costa Rica (2014 and 2018).

In conclusion, the “Ticos” know they are superior and have everything to win and qualify for the World Cup for the third time in a row. We think that Costa Rica will win by a comfortable 3-1 score at the end of the game.

Germany vs Italy | Nations League (14.06.2022, 20:45)

Germany and Italy meet on matchday four of the UEFA Nations League Group A3 at Mönchengladbach’s Borussia-Park. Both teams are still unbeaten, but the Azzurri have won three games while Germany has not yet won a game. Group 3 is confirmed, at the moment, as one of the most balanced in the entire competition. The leaders at the moment are Italy, struggling with a profound renewal after the enormous disappointment of their second consecutive absence from the final phase of the World Cup.

With that obtained in Hungary in the last match, Hans-Dieter Flick’s Germany finished in a fourth-all draw, making it 1-1 in a row between friendlies and the UEFA Nations League. Italy, on the other hand, did not go beyond 0-0 at the Molineaux Stadium in Wolverhampton in the rematch of the Euro 2020 final against England. The two teams met in the first leg last June 4 in Bologna, and on that occasion, Joshua Kimmich replied to the advantage of Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Form Guide

Germany WWWDDD

Germany is coming off a 1-1 tie with Hungary in the Nations League.

In that game, Germany had six shots on goal, one of which was on goal, and 67 percent possession. A goal by Jonas Hofmann was the only one for Germany. Seven of Hungary’s 11 shots on goal were on target. In this match, Hungary’s Zsolt Nagy scored the only goal.

The last several games between the United States and Germany have been high-scoring affairs. A total of 22 goals have been scored by both teams in the last six games, with 18 of those goals coming from Germany (averaging 3.67 goals per game).

Italy LWLDWD

When Italy faced England in the previous round of the Nations League, they were held to a goalless draw.

Italy had 41% possession and 8 shots on target in that match, with 3 of those shots on target. England had 12 shots on goal, four of which were on target.

Italy has been beaten in five of their past six matches, allowing eight goals in the process. Italy has struggled mightily in the back.

Italy Predicted XI: Donnarumma, Di Lorenzo, Bastoni, Acerbi, Calabria, Pessina, Cristante, Barella, Pellegrini, Politano, Scamacca

Prediction

We expect a balanced game with few goals: the attacks of both teams do not go through a great moment of form.

As far as we can tell, Italy should be able to score enough goals against this Germany team, but we don’t think that will be nearly enough.

After a close game, we predict that Germany will emerge victorious, 2-1.

England vs Hungary | Nations League (14.06.2022, 20:45)

England and Hungary will be the protagonists of the match valid for day number 4 of League A of the Nations League. The Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton will once again be the venue for the match between the two national teams. The classification of Group 3 at the moment is surprising, with a real reversal of what should have been the balance of power. Italy, renewed and fresh from the shock of the second consecutive failure to qualify for the World Cup, leads the group with 5 points; at 4, it is followed by Hungary, fresh from a good 1-1 draw against Germany.

A result that confirms that Marco Rossi’s team has the role of big killers: The Hungarians, before losing to Italy, in fact beat England 1-0 in their opening match. The English sadly close the group with 2 points won in the first 3 games: after the knockout with Hungary on their debut, here are the 2 consecutive draws against Germany and Italy (0-0). We clearly expect redemption from the English national team, accustomed to very different standards.

Form Guide

England WWWLDD

England is coming off a 0-0 draw with Italy in the Nations League.

In that match, England had 59% of the possession and 4 shots on goal, all of which were on target. 3 of Italy’s 8 shots were on target.

Recent results suggest that England’s defense has shown remarkable sturdiness. The three goals that have gotten past England’s goalie in their previous six games are a testament to their tight defense.

Hungary WLWWLD

Hungary tied 1-1 with Germany in their last match in the Nations League.

After 33 percent possession and 11 shots on goal, Hungary had seven shots on target during their win over the Czech Republic. Zsolt Nagy (6′) was the only Hungarian player to score. In contrast, Germany had six shots on goal and only one of them was on target. Germany’s Jonas Hofmann (9′) scored the only goal.

The Hungarians, led by Marco Rossi, have scored six goals in their last six games, an average of one goal per game.

Hungary Predicted XI: Dibusz, Lang, Orban, At. Szalai, L. Nego, Schafer, A. Nagy, Z. Nagy, Sallai, Szoboszlai, Szalai.

Prediction

Hungary will have to play their best game if they want to score against an England team that should win handily.

On the other hand, we expect the redemption of the Southgate national team in an event not to be missed to continue to make their way in the Nations League.

When the final whistle sounds, we predict an easy 3-0 victory for England.

Poland vs Belgium | Nations League (14.06.2022, 20:45)

Poland and Belgium are preparing to meet on the fourth matchday of League A of the Nations League. Teams on the pitch on Tuesday, June 14th, at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, with kick-off scheduled at 8.45pm. The situation in Group 4 is still quite fluid: in fact, the Netherlands are in the lead at 7, with a haul of 2 wins and a draw. They are chased by Belgium and Poland with 4 points each, the result of a draw, a knockout and a success each.

The defeat against the Netherlands was heavy in the Red Devils’ home: a 1-4 scoreline was very hard to digest. The resounding 6-1 against Poland then put things right, while in the last game there was a 1-1 against Wales.

The Poles, on the other hand, made their debut by beating Wales 2-1, thus allowing themselves to be overwhelmed 6-1 by the Belgian selection and imposing a good draw (1-1) on the Dutch leaders.

Form Guide

Poland LDWWLW

Poland are coming off a 2-2 tie with the Netherlands in the Nations League.

With 32% of the ball and 5 shots on goal, Poland had a successful match. Matty Cash and Piotr Zieliski scored the goals for Poland. The Netherlands had 17 shots on goal, with 6 of them finding the back of the net for their opponents. Davy Klaassen and Denzel Dumfries scored in the second half.

In each of their last six games, Poland has scored in each of them.

In that time, they’ve managed to score eight goals while allowing 10 to be scored against them.

Belgium DDWLWD

Prior to this encounter, Belgium was held to a 1-1 draw by Wales in the Nations League.

Belgium enjoyed 64% of the game’s possession and 3 of its 8 shots on goal were on goal. Youri Tielemans (51′) was the lone scorer for Belgium. Wales, on the other hand, had 14 shots on goal, but only two of them were successful. Wales’ lone goal came from Brennan Johnson in the 86th minute.

Having scored 14 goals in their last six matches, Belgium have been a constant threat to the opposition defense. Even though Belgium’s manager Roberto Martnez will definitely see this as a sign of progress, the team’s defense could use some work after letting in goals in five of the last six games.

Injured and suspended

Poland: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Belgium: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Poland vs Belgium Predicted XI

Poland Predicted XI Pope, Walker, Stones, Guehi, Trippier, Bellingham, Ward-Prowse, Gallagher, Saka, Kane, Sterling.

Belgium Predicted XI: Dibusz, Lang, Orban, Szalai, Nego, Schafer, Nagy, Nagy, Sallai, Szoboszlai, Adam Szalai.

Prediction

Poland will want to get revenge for their recent loss by the score of 6-1, while Belgium needs a lot of goals and points to catch up to the team in first place, which is occupied by the Netherlands.

Because of this, we expect a tough game in which Belgium wins by a score of 0-1 after 90 minutes.

Netherlands vs Wales | Nations League (14.06.2022, 20:45)

The Netherlands and Wales will be the protagonists of the challenge that will be staged on Tuesday, June 14, valid for the fourth day of League A of the Nations League. Teams on the pitch at De Kuip in Rotterdam, with kick-off scheduled at 20:45. It is a real head-and-tail in the group, with the two contenders being separated by 6 points. Oranje first, with a record of 2 wins and a draw so far. The successes are those obtained against Belgium (4-1) and Wales (2-1), to which we must add the draw with Poland (2-2).

A different debate for Wales, which celebrated a historic return to the World Cup with its last appearance in 1958. Bale and his teammates have lost the last 2 games against Holland (1-2) and Poland (1-2), only to then impact the return match against the Belgian national team (1-1). Stopping this Netherlands will not be easy at all for the British team: van Gaal’s men are in fact in great shape and score many goals with great regularity.

Form Guide

Netherlands WWDWWD

Since their last Nations League match against Poland ended in a tie, the Netherlands have been getting ready for this one.

In that game, the Netherlands had 68 percent of the possession and 17 shots on goal, with six of them finding the back of the net.Netherlands, goals were scored by Davy Klaassen (51′) and Denzel Dumfries (54′). Poland had a total of five shots on goal, of which three were on target. Both Matty Cash and Piotr Zielinski scored for Poland in the 18th and 49th minutes, respectively.

In previous matches, it has been an extremely unusual occurrence for the Netherlands to be able to defend their position for the full three quarters. The fact that the Netherlands’ defense has been broken in 5 of their last 6 matches, allowing 7 goals to be scored against them, is something that will be cause for concern for them. During that time span, they have scored a total of 15 goals while also allowing 7 goals to be scored against them.

Wales WDLWLL

In Wales’ most recent match, which was played against Belgium in the Nations League, the score ended 1-1.

Wales had 36% of the possession and 14 shots on goal, with only two of them finding the back of the net. Brennan Johnson was the only player on the Wales team to score (in the 86th minute). Their competitors from Belgium had eight shots on goal, with three of them hitting the target. Youri Tielemans scored the lone goal for Belgium in the 51st minute.

Taking a look at their recent form, we can see that Wales have allowed their opponents to score in 5 out of their previous 6 matches, with a total of 7 goals being scored by their rivals. When it comes to defense, Wales has a lot of room for improvement. Poland has scored a total of 11 goals throughout the course of their most recent six matches, which they have won. Additionally, Poland has scored on every single one of those instances. During those matches, their defense has been witness to their opponents scoring five goals against them.

Injured and suspended

Netherlands: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Wales: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Netherlands vs Wales Predicted XI

Netherlands Predicted XI: Cillessen, Timber, de Vrij, de Ligt, Dumfries, Berghuis, Klaassen, de Jong, Blind, Gakpo, Depay.

Wales Predicted XI: Hennessey, Mepham, Rodon, Davies, Roberts, Ramsey, Ampadu, Wilson, Williams, James, Bale.

Prediction

We get the impression that the Netherlands have it in them to score a few goals when they play Wales, who may have trouble getting their names on the scoresheet.

Because of this, we think the Netherlands will win with a comfortable 2-0 lead at the end of the match.
