Predictions 30.04-01.05.2022

Newcastle United vs Liverpool | Premier League (30.04.2022, 13:30)

Liverpool-Newcastle is the match between the two teams in the best form in the Premier League. The Reds are second, one point behind Manchester City, and have won four and drawn one of their last five games in the title race. Newcastle, on the other hand, are back from four straight victories and have even moved up to mid-table, a sprint that has definitively ended the relegation nightmare. The Magpies have built their comeback at home, where they have won six consecutive rounds in the Premier, but this time they seriously risk capitulating.

In fact, Liverpool cannot miss a beat if they want to overtake at the top of the standings, and away from home, they are almost perfect, with 10 wins in the last 11 races. Salah and his teammates will not be distracted by the return of the Champions League semi-final against Villareal next Tuesday. Liverpool will only begin to consider this match on Monday, which is a major issue for Newcastle, whose technical values are clearly lower than their next opponents.

Newcastle United vs Liverpool Predicted XI

Newcastle United Predicted XI: Dubravka, Krafth, Lascelles, Burn, Targett, Guimarães, Longstaff, Willock, Murphy, Joelinton, Saint-Maximin.

Liverpool Predicted XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Keita, Fabinho, Alcantara, Salah, Mané, Jota.

Prediction

Liverpool are the clear favorites, but Newcastle are a tough nut to crack these days. According to our forecast, the challenge will end with a goal for both teams. It is impossible to stop the attack of the Reds, but Newcastle United, on the other hand, will find it difficult to score, but we expect them to score at least once here.

As a result, we’re anticipating Liverpool to win by a score of 1-3 when all is said and done.

Leeds United vs Manchester City | Premier League (30.04.2022, 18:30)

The duel at the top of the Premier League standings between Manchester City and Liverpool continues. The citizens are first with 80 points, one more than the reds. They’ve just returned from a spectacular Champions League victory over Real Madrid, but they can’t catch their breath. The next match will be against Leeds, a team that, after the farewell of Bielsa, has achieved three wins and two draws in the last five, five points away from the relegation battle.

Both teams are therefore in good shape, but obviously, Manchester City are clearly the favorites and will not spare themselves even if on Wednesday they will be engaged in the Champions League return semi-final. Guardiola will perhaps rotate some players, but the squad is so large that this choice is unlikely to have repercussions on the result.

Manchester City: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns

Leeds United vs Manchester City Predicted XI

Leeds United Predicted XI: Meslier, Ayling, Llorente, Cooper, Dallas, Koch, Phillips, Raphinha, Moreno, Harrison, James.

Manchester City Predicted XI: Ederson, Cancelo, Dias, Laporte, Zinchenko, De Bruyne, Rodri, Gündogan, Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling.

Prediction

Our prediction for the match between Leeds and Manchester City is for the guests to win. Guardiola must win to continue the race for the title. He will do so while also scoring a lot, as his super attack faces a weak defense.

We believe Leeds United should have enough to score against this Manchester City squad in this match, but a single goal is unlikely to be enough.

As a result, we believe it will be a very competitive game, with Manchester City leading 1-2 after 90 minutes.

Real Madrid vs Espanyol | La Liga (30.04.2022, 16:15)

After a 3-4 pyrotechnic with Manchester City, Real Madrid is ready to start the celebrations in the league. Ancelotti leads Barcelona by fifteen points. If he manages to beat Espanyol, he will be mathematically champion with four days to spare. The Italian coach’s goal of returning the Los Blancos to winning ways was met, as the Liga was literally dominated, with only three defeats and four victories in a row instead of the challenge that could uncork the champagne.

Espanyol, on the other hand, is almost safe with 39 points and has not achieved exciting results; three defeats in the last four games with Rayo Vallecano, Atletico Madrid, and Real Sociedad, in the midst of success with Celta Vigo, Real is therefore widely favored to win the challenge, both in terms of quality and motivation.

Form Guide

Real Madrid WWLWWL

Real Madrid will be looking to avenge a 4-3 Champions League setback against Manchester City in their previous match.

Real Madrid had 40% possession and 11 shots on goal, five of which were on target, in that encounter. Real Madrid scored goals through Karim Benzema (33′, 82′) and Vinicius Junior (55′). Manchester City, on the other hand, had 16 shots on goal, six of which were on target. Manchester City’s goals came from Kevin De Bruyne (2′), Gabriel Jesus (11′), Phil Foden (53′), and Bernardo Silva (74′).

Real Madrid have been on a goal-scoring spree recently, scoring in each of their past six outings.

Espanyol DWLWLL

Espanyol and its travelling fans will be hoping for a better outcome here after losing to Rayo Vallecano in La Liga last time out.

Espanyol controlled the game with 57% possession and six shots on goal, two of which were on target. Rayo Vallecano had 13 shots on goal, only two of which were on target. Rayo Vallecano’s Sergi Guardiola scored in the 42nd minute.

In five of the last six meetings between Espanyol and rival clubs, a surprisingly low number of goals have been scored. During that time, the total average goal scored per game was only 1.5, with Periquitos’ average goal being 0.67.

  • Nine of Espanyol’s last eleven away games have finished with three or more goals on the final scoreboard.
  • In all their last three games, Real Madrid have scored three goals, seven in a row in which they have scored at least two.
  • Los Blancos have the best attack in the tournament with 69 goals in 33 games.

Injured and suspended

Real Madrid: (Mariano Díaz, Luka Jovic, Eden Hazard, Nacho Fernández and Éder Militão.)

Espanyol: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns

Real Madrid vs Espanyol Predicted XI

Real Madrid Predicted XI: Courtois, Vázquez, Vallejo, Marín, Marcelo, Camavinga, Valverde, Ceballos, Bale, Benzema, Asensio.

Espanyol Predicted XI: Lopez, Vidal, Calero, Cabrera, Pedrosa, Herrera, Lopez, Darder, Vilhena, de Tomás, Puado.

Prediction

Ancelotti’s men are goal machines and in recent weeks have scored three goals at Sevilla and as many at Osasuna and Manchester City. It is difficult to think that they can score less against their next opponents, who, however, will have opportunities. In fact, the merengues have not been there for some time.

Espanyol appears to have a good chance of scoring against a Real Madrid side that has the quality to score the goals required to secure a large win.

As a result, we expect Real Madrid to win by a 3-0 score when the referee blows the final whistle.

Barcelona vs Mallorca| La Liga (01.05.2022, 16:15)

Barcelona are second in the standings with 63 points and challenge Mallorca, who are fifth from bottom with 32 points and are only two points from the relegation zone. The stimuli are thus all aimed at the visitors, who have had a decidedly erratic end to the season, with two victories over Atletico Madrid and Alaves in between and a 3-0 loss to Elche.

The hot spot is there, and with only five games left to play, every challenge is decisive. Barcelona, on the other hand, has nothing more to ask for this season. Surprisingly, outside of the Europa League and too far away from Real Madrid, now virtually champions, it will still be a year with zero titles. The Xavi era started with excellent results, but the manager has recently been held back by three defeats, with Rayo Vallecano, Cadiz, and Frankfurt in the last four races.

Form Guide

Barcelona DWLLWL

Barcelona will be looking to bounce back after losing 0-1 to Rayo Vallecano in their previous La Liga match.

Barcelona had 71 percent of the possession and 18 shots on goal, 5 of which were on target. Rayo Vallecano had three shots on goal, one of which was on target. Rayo Vallecano scored through Alvaro Garca (7′).

Barcelona hasn’t conceded in far too many of their recent games. Barcelona’s failure to prevent opponents from scoring in five of their previous six games, resulting in the loss of eight goals, will be a source of concern for them.

Mallorca LLLWLW

Mallorca will enter the encounter on the back of a 2-1 La Liga victory over Alaves in their previous match.

Mallorca had 40% possession and had 5 shots on goal, three of which were on target. Abdón Prats (11′), Vedat Muriqi (45′), and Antonio Rallo (73′ Own goal) scored. Alaves, on the other hand, had 11 shots on goal, three of which were on target.

In their last six games, Mallorca’s strikers have only managed to score three goals. Los Bermellones have also had an equal number of goals scored against them in those games.

  • Mallorca have lost all of their last eight away games and have not scored in the last three.
  • Barcelona have conceded only four goals in their last seven La Liga games.
  • With 29 goals in 33 games, Mallorca have the second worst attack in the tournament.

Injured and suspended

Barcelona: (Ansu Fati (Fitness), Samuel Umtiti, Óscar Minguez, Sergiño Dest, Moussa Wague, Sergi Roberto and Pedri)

Mallorca: (Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta)

Barcelona vs Mallorca Predicted XI

Barcelona Predicted XI: ter Stegen, Alves, Araujo, García, Alba, De Jong, Busquets, Gavi, Dembélé, Aubameyang and Ferrán Torres.

Mallorca Predicted XI: Rico, Maffeo, Valjent, Raíllo, Oliván, Kubo, Sevilla, Baba, Rodriguez, Rodriguez and Abdon Prats Bastidas.

Prediction

Barcelona will win against Mallorca, who hasn’t scored any points away from home for over two months.

The attack of the guests scores less than a goal per game, and at Camp Nou, they will hardly be able to overcome a defense that lately has been one of the few happy notes for Xavi.

We predict a comprehensive 3-0 win for Barcelona by the conclusion of the match.
