Predictions World Cup- Day 12-13

Canada vs Morocco | World Cup (01.12.2022, 16:00)

A huge opportunity for Morocco, which can return to play in the Round of 16 of the World Cup after more than thirty years (the last time was in 1986), in which there have been few joys and many missed participations. In fact, a draw against Canada will be enough for the North African national team to detach the pass and thus achieve a goal that, before the start of the group stage, seemed really difficult. Morocco undoubtedly deserved this privileged position, as they played two more than good matches against Croatia and Belgium, picking up a draw and a win. Now, the easiest obstacle arrives on paper, namely Canada, still with zero points and already eliminated but still, at least through the mouth of their coach Herdman, satisfied for having fought well against Belgium and, in the first half, against Croatia, and above all for having managed to score the first historic goal in the history of the world championship event.

The national team of Alphonso Davies, who scored the Canadian goal against Croatia, will thus have the opportunity to seek, in addition to the first goal, the first point in the event’s history. Two very different objectives thus collide: Morocco’s, of absolute concreteness and prestige, and Canada’s, more platonic but still relevant, and both would be achieved in the event of a tie. There is also the fact that the match (like all those in the last round) will be played simultaneously with the other match in the group, Croatia-Belgium. And if this aspect is irrelevant for Canada, it cannot be the same for Morocco, which, in fact, with a Croatian victory, would go through even losing.

Form Guide

Canada WLDWLD

After suffering a 4-1 defeat against Croatia in their previous World Cup match, Canada will be looking to get back on the winning track today.

During that match, Canada held 52% of the possession and had 8 shots on goal, with only 2 of them finding the net. The Croatian offense had 13 shots on goal, 10 of which were on target.

Canada has scored a total of six goals throughout their last six matches, which puts them on pace to score one goal in each of their upcoming contests, giving them an average of one goal per game.

Morocco LWDWDW

Before this match, Morocco beat Belgium 2-0 in a World Cup game.

During that game, Morocco held 33 percent of the possession and had 10 shots on goal, with four of them finding the target. Belgium had ten shots on goal, but only three of them were on target.

As a result of a string of solid performances by their defensive players, Morocco has only conceded three goals in their most recent six matches combined. This brings their overall number of goals against to three. During that time frame, they are responsible for 7 of the team’s own goals that have been scored.

Canada Predicted XI: St. Clair, Johnston, Vitoria, Millar, Adekugbe, Buchanan, Kone, Osorio, Davies, Larin, David.

Morocco Predicted XI: Bounou, Hakimi, Aguerd, Saiss, Mazraoui, Amrabat, Ounahi, Amallah, Ziyech, En-Nesyri, Boufal.

Prediction

In our opinion, Morocco has a good chance of getting a lot of shots on goal and making the most of those shots.

In contrast, Canada will have a difficult time finding success in their attempts to score.

As a result, by the time the referee blows the final whistle, the score shows that Morocco has won the match with a 0-1 lead.

Croatia vs Belgium | World Cup (01.12.2022, 16:00)

It’s the last call for Belgium, and it won’t be an easy call. The “Red Devil” have almost only one result available to pass a group that seemed to be able to see them quite easily between the two qualifiers, but which instead got complicated from the first game, in terms of performance and game, and from the second, in terms of results. If Martinez’s team’s debut was bad but successful against Canada, the second match was even worse, and it deservedly lost to the unexpected Morocco. With three points, Belgium will now need either a draw and a large victory for Canada against Morocco, which can give a better goal difference than the North Africans; or, more realistically, a victory against the most difficult opponent of the group, the finalist of the last World Cup and now the undisputed big continental, namely Croatia. However, the red and white also had some lows during the first two matches, but, in the most difficult moment, down by a goal against Canada, they were able to respond with a great performance.

It will thus be extremely difficult for Courtois and his teammates, who risk losing all of the good hopes that had been placed on the team in recent years, beginning with third place in the 2018 World Cup and continuing with the incredible qualifying round for Euro 2021 (ten wins from ten games) and subsequent first place in the Nations League group. However, not even Croatia will be able to stay calm, for which defeat would most likely mean elimination, which, when weighed, would be even more surprising than that of Belgium. Here then is the somewhat perfidious charm of this great challenge, the one that will almost certainly lead to the elimination of a big one: as the proverb says, “between the two litigants, the third enjoys,” and in this case the third would be Morocco, which only needs one point against Canada to ensure, in any case, the passage of the round.

Form Guide

Croatia WWWWWD

Following their victory against Canada by a score of 4-1 in the World Cup, Croatia will be looking for a similar outcome in this match.

During that game, Croatia held a possession percentage of 48 percent and had 13 shots on goal, 10 of which were on target. Canada had eight shots on goal, but only two of them were on target.

The more recent scorelines of both teams show that the Croatia backline does not have a lot of room for improvement. The number of goals that have been scored against Croatia in their previous six matches is only two, despite the fact that they have a reputation for being stingy goalkeepers.

Belgium WWLLWL

As a result of Belgium’s previous loss in World Cup competition, which came at the hands of Morocco, both the team and its fans who traveled with them will be hoping for a better outcome in this matchup.

During that match, Belgium held possession of the ball for 67% of the game and had 10 shots on goal, with 3 of them finding the target. Their competitors from Morocco had 10 shots on goal, with four of them landing in the target area.

The Belgium team managed by Roberto Martinez has had plenty to cheer about recently, as they have scored five goals throughout their last six matches. Six different teams have found the back of the net against them in those same matches, bringing the total number of goals scored against them to 6.

Belgium Predicted XI: Courtois, Castagne, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Meunier, Carrasco, Tielemans, Witsel, De Bruyne, Hazard, Lukaku.

Prediction

We believe that there is a good chance that both teams will not end up scoring in a match that should be a close battle with very little to choose between the two teams.

Let’s see how this one plays out, but it appears like we might end up with a tie. As a result, we anticipate a very competitive match that will end in a 0-0 draw after the whole 90 minutes.

Costa Rica vs Germany | World Cup (01.11.2022, 20:00)

Germany, with a meager haul of just one point in two games and a result that was perhaps worth more than the draw itself against Spain (i.e., Costa Rica’s victory over Japan), find themselves still having a good chance of going through. The Germans will need to beat Costa Rica and hope that Spain defeats Japan or that the two teams draw in such a way as to have a better goal difference than the Japanese. On the other hand, the solution that would see the Germans go through with a Spanish defeat is almost impossible because of the goal difference, which, in this World Cup, counts before the direct clash and therefore sees the Iberians relatively safe after the debut goal. And it is precisely the Central American national team that will try, after defeating Japan, to resist Germany. In fact, unlike their opponents, a draw could be enough for Costa Rica, provided that Spain beats Japan.

There are therefore many possibilities, but it is clear that the fulcrum of the third day of this group revolves around the victory or otherwise of Flick’s national team, which, despite the shaky trend, always remains rather optimistic in the pre- and post-match statements. However, the moment of truth is upon us, and although the possibility of repeating the flop of 2018 (where the team went out in the group stage) is real, the field also spoke of a very good long segment of the match against Japan and an important reaction, culminating in Fullkrug’s goal, after the disadvantage against Spain. However, Costa Rica will not want to be the classic “sacrificial lamb.” The tremendous debut with a 0-7 score suffered by Spain, which seemed the antechamber of a foregone elimination, was in fact overcome by only Fuller’s goal. So now the transition from disaster to dream (which remains very difficult) is only a game away, and Costa Rica will certainly try to oppose the German fury by seizing an unexpected qualification for the round of 16, repeating the historic one of 2014, which saw the national team of Central America get behind Uruguay, England, and Italy.

Form Guide

Costa Rica WDWWLW

Following their previous game, which they won, Costa Rica will be hoping for a similar result following their World Cup victory over Japan by a score of 1-0.

During that match, Costa Rica held 43% of the possession and had 4 shots on goal, with only one of them finding the back of the net. On the other hand, Japan had 13 shots on goal, but only three of them were successful in hitting the target.

In their last six matches, Costa Rica has been successful in scoring eight goals. At the opposite end of the pitch, the total number of goals that they have let in during those matches is currently at ten.

Germany WLDWLD

In their most recent match, Germany and Spain played to a 1-1 draw in a World Cup match.

In that game, Germany held 36% of the possession and had 11 shots on goal, with 4 of those shots finding the target. Spain had seven shots on goal, but only three of them were on target.

Germany, coached by Hansi Flick, has been successful in scoring goals in each of their last six matches, putting the ball in the back of the net a total of ten times. They have allowed a total of 8 goals during the corresponding time period, which can be expressed as the sum of those goals.

Germany Predicted XI: Neuer, Klostermann, Suele, Ruediger, Raum, Kimmich, Gundogan, Gnabry, Musiala, Sane, Fuellkrug.

Prediction

Our analysis leads us to believe that Germany has a strong possibility of generating a large number of shots on goal and making the most of the opportunities it creates with those shots.

On the other hand, it won’t be easy for Costa Rica to achieve success in their attempts to score goals.

Because of this, when the game is over and the referee blows his whistle, the scoreboard will show that Germany won with a 0-1 lead.

Japan vs Spain  | World Cup (01.12.2022, 20:00)

In a group where all four teams still have a chance to advance on the eve of the final round, the first two, Spain and Japan, face each other with the possibility of reaching the round of 16 together if Spain does not win. The match in Doha is therefore inevitably linked to the other in the group, between Germany and Costa Rica, and this match could also change the tactical dynamics of the match, especially as it progresses. Trying to imagine the most plausible scenario, i.e., a German victory, we therefore arrive at the synthesis whereby, in all likelihood, Japan will be forced to seek success in order to try to pass qualification, given that, unfortunately for them, it is no longer valid to use the direct clash as the first criterion in the event of a tie on points but rather the goal difference. Coach Moriyasu, who has already stated that the team will play to win, is convinced of this “obligation.” The Japanese formation will therefore have to maximize what they manage to create, something they did fairly well in the first match against Germany but decidedly less in the second match against Costa Rica. On the other hand, Spain arrives quite calm in terms of standings in this last round of the group, aware both of the fact that a draw would be enough to pass to the round of 16, and above all of how the team is playing, which is overall very well. The debut “with a bang” against Costa Rica was followed by a very positive performance against Germany, especially in the first half.

The Spaniards will have two and a half results out of three (even with a KO, they could pass), but they must be cautious because they will face a Japan that could prove combative, indomitable, and even successful: Germany has just confirmed this.

Form Guide

Japan WLWLWL

Following their previous World Cup match, in which they were defeated by Costa Rica by a score of 0-1, Japan will be seeking to improve upon that performance today.

During that match, Japan held 57% of the possession and had 13 shots on goal, with only three of them finding the back of the net. Four shots were taken by Costa Rica, but just one was on target.

In the most recent of its games, Japan has only managed to keep a scoreless draw a handful of times. The fact of the matter is that Japan have failed to keep their opponents from scoring in 5 of their most recent 6 matches, allowing a total of 6 goals.

Spain WLWWWD

Spain’s most recent World Cup match, which was played against Germany, ended in a 1-1 draw.

During that match, Spain held a 64% possession advantage and had 7 shots on goal, with 3 of them finding the back of the net. Their competitors in the game, Germany, had 11 shots on goal, with 4 of them hitting the target.

As a result of Spain’s defensive players turning in a string of solid performances, the team has allowed only three goals in their last six matches combined. This brings their overall goal differential to three. During that span of time, their strikers have accounted for 14 of their team’s goals.

Spain Predicted XI: Simon, Carvajal, Torres, Laporte, Alba, Koke, Rodri, Pedri, Torres, Morata, Olmo.

Prediction

Japan will eventually find a way to score a goal against this Spain side, but it might not be enough to prevent Japan from going down in defeat.

As a result, we believe that Spain will emerge victorious with a score of 1-4 after the first ninety minutes of play.

Ghana vs Uruguay | World Cup (02.12.2022, 16:00)

Ghana faces Uruguay in the third round of Group H of the World Cup at the Al Janoub Stadium. Qualification for the round of 16 still has to be played for both teams, while the only one already certain of passing the round is Portugal, with full points after 6 points. In second place in the group H standings are Ghana with 3 points, followed by South Korea and Uruguay with 1. A bad start to the group stage for Alonso’s team, with a 0-0 draw against South Korea in their debut and then the 2-0 defeat against Portugal. There is great disappointment among the Uruguay fans, who were hoping for a completely different path, but nothing is definitively compromised yet, and with a victory against Ghana, Suarez and his companions could still hope, South Korea permitting.

Ghana, on the other hand, surprised on the positive side: after a 3-2 loss to Portugal on their debut (the game was reopened in the final and the Ghanaians were very close to a sensational draw), Addo’s team won 3-2 against South Korea, a spectacular match punctuated by goals, with the Ghanaians leading 2-0 before being joined at 2-2 by Gue-sung’s brace and, in the decisive final, the third goal by Kudus. It is Uruguay’s final call, and Ghana has the advantage in the standings, but we must also consider Korea, who will face Portugal, who has already qualified, and with fewer stimuli than the first two games.

Form Guide

Ghana DLWWLW

Ghana will be looking to build on their previous performance after defeating Korea Republic by a score of 2-3 at the World Cup.

During that match, Ghana held 37% of the possession and had 7 shots on goal, with 3 of them finding the back of the net. The Republic of Korea got 22 shots on goal, but only seven of them were on target.

Ghana has scored a total of 9 goals throughout their last 6 matches, which works out to an average of 1.5 goals per game.

Uruguay WDWLWD

Following their previous matchup in World Cup competition, in which they were defeated by Portugal, Uruguay and their fans will be hoping for a better result this time around.

During that match, Uruguay held a 40% possession advantage and had 11 shots on goal, with only three of them finding the back of the net. The opposition, Portugal, had 15 shots on goal, with only three of them actually hitting the target.

The Uruguayan defensive unit has been very effective as of late, as evidenced by the fact that they have only conceded one goal in their last six matches, which brings their overall total to one goal against. In the same amount of time, their forwards have tallied 10 goals.

Uruguay Predicted XI: Rochet, Coates, Godin, Giménez, Varela, Valverde, Vecino, Bentancur,  Olivera, Suarez, Núñez.

Prediction

According to our analysis, Uruguay has a fair opportunity to generate a large number of shots on goal and maximize the effectiveness of these shots.

Ghana, on the other hand, will have a hard time finding success in their attempts to score goals.

Because of this, by the time the game is over and the referee blows the final whistle, the scoreboard shows that Uruguay has won with a 1-0 lead.

Korea Republic vs Portugal | World Cup (02.12.2022, 16:00)

South Korea faces Portugal in the third round of Group H of the World Cup at the Education City Stadium. Cristiano Ronaldo’s team has already qualified for the round of 16 after the 2-0 victory against Uruguay, decided by two goals from Manchester United player Bruno Fernandes. And the Group H standings currently show Portugal in first place and full points with 6 points, followed by Ghana with 3, then South Korea and Uruguay with 1. If Uruguay is currently the big disappointment, Korea will play all out against Portugal in the last 90 minutes to try to overtake Ghana in the standings and snatch qualification for the round of 16, obviously allowing Uruguay.

Apart from Portugal (which also won the first match 3-2 against Ghana), the other 3 teams are all still in the game to go through; it will be a very high-tension final. South Korea drew 0-0 against Uruguay in the opening match and lost against Ghana 3-2 in the last round. Crazy game, with Ghana leading 2-0, then being tied at 2-2 by Gue-sung’s brace and the decisive third goal by Kudus. Portugal lavishes attention on Cristiano Ronaldo, who was released by Manchester United following a recent interview that convinced the Red Devils’ management to terminate his contract. CR7 is looking for a new team, and what better showcase than the World Cup in Qatar? The endless challenge with Messi is renewed in the scorer’s standings; at the moment, the Argentine has scored 2 goals, compared to only one for Ronaldo, who plans to increase the tally.

Form Guide

Korea Republic WDWWDL

After suffering a disappointing 3-2 loss to Ghana in their most recent World Cup match, Korea Republic will be looking to get back on the winning track tonight.

During that match, Korea Republic had 63% control of the ball and had 22 shots on goal, with 7 of those shots hitting the target. The African nation of Ghana had seven shots on goal, three of which were on target.

The Korea Republic has scored a total of 10 goals over the course of their most recent six matches, giving them an average of 1.67 goals per game.

Portugal LWLWWD

Portugal enters this match after defeating Uruguay 2-0 in their previous World Cup match.

During that match, Portugal held 60 percent of the possession and had 15 shots on goal, with three of them finding the back of the net. There were 11 shots on goal from Uruguay, and only three of them were on target.

In recent games involving Portugal, there has been a discernible pattern developing in which at least one of the competing teams fails to score. A review of their activities over the past six weekends reveals that this has occurred five times. In these matches, Portugal’s opponents have scored a total of four goals, while Portugal has scored 11 goals for itself.

Cameroon vs Brazil | World Cup (02.12.2022, 20:00)

Cameroon faces Brazil in the third round of Group G of the World Cup at the Al Lusail Stadium. The ranking after the first two rounds is rather defined at the top, with Brazil first with full points (6 points), followed by Switzerland with 3 points, and Cameroon and Serbia at one point each. Brazil is obviously already qualified for the round of 16 with one round to spare, while the other three teams will play it all in the last 90 minutes of the group stage. Tite’s team is simply unstoppable, and after preparing for the World Cup at Continassa, in Italy, it has achieved two victories in the first two games: 2-0 against Serbia and 1-0 against Switzerland, sealing off the round of 16. So no pressure on Cameroon; for the coach, it will be an opportunity to experiment with some new solutions while waiting for Neymar to recover. He is still struggling with an ankle problem, as is Danilo, who was bruised.

But the depth and quality of the squad allowed Brazil to go 17 consecutive games without losing, with an open streak of 9 consecutive games. It’s hard to do better than that, and Cameroon will try to interrupt the Brazilian party after the 1-0 defeat against Switzerland on their debut and the daring 3-3 draw against Serbia. With a victory, Song’s team can still hope for the last 16, but it depends above all on the other match in the group, between Switzerland and Serbia, with the Swiss two points ahead of Cameroon and Serbia.

Form Guide

Cameroon LLDDLD

Cameroon enters this match on the heels of a World Cup match against Serbia in which they were held to a 3-3 draw.

Cameroon had 41% possession of the ball during that encounter, 13 shots on goal, and 8 of those shots were on target. Their rivals from Serbia had 15 shots on goal, with 5 of them landing in the net.

Cameroon has not kept a scoreless game in a long time in their recent matches. The fact of the matter is that Cameroon have failed to keep their opponents from scoring in 6 of their last 6 matches, which has resulted in them allowing their opponents to score 9 goals.

Brazil WWWWWD

Brazil is coming into this game on the heels of a World Cup win. In their most recent match, they beat Switzerland 1-0.

In that game, Brazil held possession for 54% of the time and had 13 shots on goal, with 5 of them finding the target. Switzerland had six shots on goal, but none of them were on target.

The Brazil defense has been on a roll recently, as evidenced by the fact that they have only given up two goals in all of their previous six matches combined. This is due to a string of strong performances by Brazil’s defensive players. In the same span of time, their strikers have accounted for 16 of their team’s total goals.

Prediction

We have the impression that Brazil will have a significant amount of possession of the ball and will capitalize on a significant number of opportunities to score goals.

Cameroon, on the other hand, will have a difficult time scoring, but we believe that it is quite possible that they may occasionally be a threat to their opponents.

As a result, Brazil emerged victorious in this contest with a score of 1-4 after all was said and done.

Serbia vs Switzerland  | World Cup (02.12.2022, 20:00)

Serbia faces Switzerland in the third round of Group G of the World Cup at Stadium 974. Brazil is first with full points, with 6 points in the group, followed by Switzerland with 3, with Cameroon and Serbia at one point each. Brazil is obviously already qualified for the round of 16 with one round to spare, while the other three teams will play it all in the last 90 minutes of the group stage. Serbia, which at the beginning of the competition was given as the favorite for second place behind Brazil, is in great difficulty and even risks being eliminated from the group stage. After a 2-0 debut defeat against the Brazilians, Stojkovic’s side drew 3-3 in the second round against Cameroon. The alarm for star Vlahovic’s condition, who was on the bench against Cameroon due to a flare-up of pubalgia, which also affected his performance in the final part of the season before the World Cup.

The locker room would not be as compact as it should be, with the crisis of results aggravating the situation with only one point in the first two group games. On the other hand, however, Switzerland is one step away from the round of 16, after the 1-0 victory against Cameroon on their debut and the 1-0 defeat against Brazil in the second round. Yakin’s team regrouped on the strength of a tradition that has seen them reach the knockout stage three times; only in 2010 did Switzerland miss the round of 16.

Form Guide

Serbia DWWWLD

After playing Cameroon to a 3-3 draw in their previous World Cup match, Serbia enters this game riding that momentum.

During that game, Serbia held 59% of the possession and had 15 shots on goal, with 5 of them finding the back of the net. Cameroon had a total of 13 shots on goal, just 8 of which were on target.

In recent times, games featuring Serbia have consistently been quite entertaining affairs, with a high number of goals being scored as the norm. In the last half-dozen times these two teams have competed against one another, a grand total of 25 goals have been scored for both teams combined (at an average of 4.17 goals per game), with 16 of these goals coming from Serbia.

Switzerland LWWWLW

Switzerland will be trying to turn things around here after suffering a defeat in the previous World Cup game they participated in against Brazil.

In that match, Switzerland had 46% possession and 6 shots at goal, with 0 of them on target. On the other end of the field, Brazil had 13 shots on goal, with 5 of them landing in the target area.

The Switzerland team captained by Murat Yakin has scored a total of six goals throughout their last six matches, which results in an average of one goal scored each game for the Swiss. In other words, they have a goals scored per game average of 1.
